This is the 5th award received by Malagos 100% Pure Unsweetened Chocolate. Last June 2017, it received a SILVER at the Academy of Chocolate in the Drinking Chocolate  Last year, it won for the same category, SILVER and 2 STARS (out of 3 star s) at the Academy of Chocolate and Great Taste (Oscar’s of the food world) Awards in London, UK, respectively. Two years ago, it won its first award – 2015 Bronze for Best Unflavored Drinking Chocolate at the Academy of Chocolate Awards in London, UK.

Please store in a cool, dark place like a pantry cabinet.  Do not store in the fridge as sudden change in temperature will change the appearance of the chocolate (i.e., whitish coating). This phenomenon is called 'bloom' where the fat or sugar crystals rise to the surface. Chocolates that have 'bloomed' are still edible.

For a quick comforting cocoa drink, pour 3/4 cup (180 ml) fresh milk into a heavy saucepan.  Place pan over low heat and add 2 to 3 pieces (9 grams each) of Malagos Premium Unsweetened Chocolate.  Whisk to dissolve.  Add some brown sugar and stir until foamy.  Put hot chocolate into a cup. Chocolates should be stored in a clean, dry, cool, and odorless place, such as a pantry cabinet. The recommended temperature range is 18°C to 22°C. It's important to keep them away from heat and light. Avoid storing them in the fridge, refrigerator, or chiller, as sudden changes in temperature can cause a whitish coating, known as 'bloom', to appear on their surface. 'Bloom' is caused when crystals of fat or sugar rise to the surface of the chocolates. Although bloomed chocolates are still safe to eat, they may have an altered appearance and texture.
