This is unsweetened chocolate (0 sugar / 0 sweetener) in its purest form from cacao beans grown and processed in our farms in Davao City, Philippines. Packed in a gold tin that's perfect for gifting to loved ones and friends. Also great as tokens or giveaways during special occasions. 

Awarded four (4) GOLDS & one (1) BRONZE at the 2020 World Drinking Chocolate Competition organized by the prestigious International Chocolate Awards. The results were announced during the virtual Schokoladen Gourmet Festival in Hannover, Germany last October 25, 2020. 🎉🏆🇵🇭🍫

What makes our Gold victory even sweeter is this: the Unsweetened Chocolate is the base throughout our entire product line. It is our purest with only one ingredient, the fermented dried cacao bean.  With these new awards, Malagos Chocolate has gone full circle. Back in 2015, it was in this same category that we were able to claim our first international award, which placed the spotlight on Malagos and Philippine cacao. 🇵🇭🌱🍫

HOT CHOCOLATE  RECIPE 

For a quick, comforting cup of hot chocolate, heat one cup of milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Add 20-30 grams of our award-winning 100% Pure Unsweetened Chocolate (tablea), stirring constantly until it is completely melted. Continue stirring and simmer gently for about three minutes. The mixture will thicken—take care that it does not boil over. Pour into a cup ☕️, add your preferred sweetener, and serve immediately.

Storage

Chocolates should be stored in a clean, dry, cool, and odorless place, such as a pantry cabinet. The recommended temperature range is 18°C to 22°C. It's important to keep them away from heat and light. Avoid storing them in the fridge, refrigerator, or chiller, as sudden changes in temperature can cause a whitish coating, known as 'bloom', to appear on their surface. 'Bloom' is caused when crystals of fat or sugar rise to the surface of the chocolates. Although bloomed chocolates are still safe to eat, they may have an altered appearance and texture.
